In the above-listed areas of practice Dr. Andreas Peschel-Mehner is a member of the Practice Groups Film & TV, Games, Advertising, as well as Internet and E-Business.
Dr. Andreas Peschel-Mehner consults clients in the areas of Media and Entertainment Law, in particular in all matters relating to the film and TV industry, covering all fields from financing to production and on to evaluating the individual TV and film productions. He focuses on consulting in contractual matters and on handling existing legal risks, such as personal rights, acquisition and distribution of the required rights of use, and structuring the proceeds of the individual productions. Special areas of activity are furthermore all issues relating to the protection of formats and the observance of sponsorship conditions.
Dr. Peschel-Mehner furthermore specializes in consulting international game publishers and studios, in particular concentrating on types of financing, licensing issues and the acquisition of game projects.
In the Internet and E-Business field Dr. Andreas Peschel-Mehner acts as consultant for important Internet portals, online services and platforms for so-called “user-generated content” and in connection with the online- and Internet exploitation of the contents of classical media houses.
Concerning the field of Competition Law, Dr. Andreas Peschel-Mehner has acquired expert knowledge particularly in the assessment of the admissible limits of advertising efforts and prize competitions.
